V2cigs V2 Economy Kit (Part 2 of 2)

This is Part 2 of a 2 Part review. If you haven't read Part 1, you may want to do so now.

As you may recall, I ordered the Economy Kit on Apr 27. This was done using USPS Priority Mail, or the cheapest shipping option available. So I was expecting quite a long wait. Much to my surprise, it arrived 5 days later on May 2nd! It was very well packaged and the Kit actually comes in a really cool box. Check it out:

V2 Economy Kit
Like a kid, I opened it up and the first thing I checked was the battery. It was already fully charged and they sent me a V2 manual battery, which is a bit of a welcome surprise as their web site says automatic. The other surprise was the Promo Code for 15% off my next order of cartridges or accessories!

First let me start by stating that inhaling vapor is different than inhaling smoke. Vapor is a bit heavier but it's something I got used to very quickly. Also, pressing the button on the manual takes a slight bit of getting used to. However, using the button becomes second nature very quickly as well.

After opening the cool looking box and connecting the cartridge to the battery, I quickly realized how small and light it is! The throw away e-cig I had was a tiny bit bigger and significantly heavier. For me, smaller and lighter is better for e-cigs, so that's a plus in my book.

The Battery - manual vs automatic

Personally, I love the manual battery. The button allows for quick vapor. The only trick is knowing that when you let go of the button, the V2 stays lit for a bit, so be sure and let go a bit early.

While I love the manual battery best, the V2 is light enough that, with the automatic battery, it can be held in the mouth and smoked (vapored?) like normal. I've seriously been thinking about getting an automatic just so I can keep it in the car. Smoking the manual while driving is actually pretty easy but the automatic is much more vehicle friendly.

The Charger

The battery can be charged via USB. There is also a wall charger that the USB cable plugs into. While plugged into the wall, the battery takes about 45 minutes to charge. While plugged into a USB device, like a laptop, desktop, etc., the battery also takes about 45 minutes to charge. For me, I can wait that long between smokes but if that's too long for you, simply buy an additional battery and smoke (vapor?) one while charging the dead one.

The Cartridges

The V2 cartridges come in many different flavors:

  • Red (Cowboy),
  • Congress
  • Menthol
  • Coffee
  • Vanilla
  • Cherry
  • Peppermint
  • Chocolate
  • Sahara
  • Cola

I've tried all but Cola, which doesn't ship until June 5th - so it was unavailable for my testing. Personally, I like all the flavors. Menthol, by far is my fav as I feel it is the smoothest. If you don't like menthol, both Congress and Chocolate are smoother than the rest. None, I feel, are overly harsh but the rest just aren't as smooth a vapor as those three. The harshest, I feel, are Red and Sahara but the flavors are fitting and, like I stated, they are not too harsh to both inhale deeply and even swallow (more on that later).

The Coffee, Vanilla, Cherry, Peppermint and Chocolate taste as advertised. So if you like Coffee the best, then that will be your fav. For me, it's Chocolate.

How High Can You Go?

Everyone that smokes cigarettes is familiar with the buzz or high associated with smoking. If you've ever smoked hookah, you also know the high is even that much better. Smoking (vaporing?) a V2 can give the same high as smoking hookah, if done properly. The steps are as follows:

  1. Inhale slowly and deeply.
  2. Once done inhaling, swallow.
  3. Hold breath for as long as possible. (You can feel it all through out your body!)
  4. Exhale.
  5. Repeat at least 4 or more times

This process gives a high that you simply can't obtain smoking regular cigaretts. It also helps if you use the Full - 18mg strength cartridges, as you'll get more nicotine into your body with each deep inhale.

Discount Pricing

When I ordered the V2 Economy Kit, I got a 10% discount. Luckily I can offer all readers of this blog that same 10% discount on all items in V2's online store! Once you place your order for a Starter Kit, you'll also get another 15% off discount code off your next order - all products and accessories included. The info needed for this 10% discount on all items is:
Web Link: V2 Vapor Is The New Smoke
Discount Code: loki
You can apply the Discount Code at checkout.

Personally, I really like the V2 e-cigs. They even have blank cartridges so that you can use your own liquid, which can be purchased at most mall kiosks or via other web sites, like Johnson & Creek juices.

Dude Looks Like A Lady

Really, Mr Tyler?!?! Really?! Wow!

Chili Hot Beans

At work we sell an item called Chili Hot Beans. While working, the tune Jimmy Crack Corn stuck in my head. The parody is as follows:

Chili Hot Beans and I don't care!
Chili Hot Beans and I don't care!
Chili Hot Beans and I don't care!
My taste buds have gone away!

My taste buds have gone away!
My taste buds have gone away!

Suggestive Selling

As you know, I work as a cashier at a local grocery store. One of the things we are supposed to do is a thing called "suggestive selling". An example would be if I'm ringing up a customer that has purchased strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, I typically mention the time I got a honeydew melon, cut it in half, ate the white middle out but left the green and then put the strawberries, blackberries and raspberries in the middle (along with frozen daiquiri mix) and ate it all together. I would also mentioned how delightful and yummy it was. As you can see, by suggestive selling, it plants an idea in the customer's head that if they add honeydew and possibly daiquiri mix to what they already buy, it will make a yummy concoction.

Well, today, I had an old man who bought an issue of Sports Illustrated, the swimsuit issue. I just spoke with him but didn't do any suggestive selling. My co-workers were all on break and so I went over and told them about the customer and said, "How does one suggestive sell the swimsuit issue? Should I have suggested he get KY jelly as well?". They all busted out laughing. Then I said, "And I typically do suggestive selling by telling the customer how I do it." And that cracked them up even more.

Making people laugh is so much fun!

V2cigs V2 Economy Kit (Part 1 of 2)

While I've been very happy smoking Camel Wides, both red and menthol, I recently made an impulse purchase because I wanted to try an electronic cigarette. I was at the local gas station and, at the checkout, they had a display of 21 Century Smoking e-cigs. They were of the cheap, throwaway variety. I choose menthol because Sasha was with me and wanted to try as well.

Neither one of us was very impressed. Like Catherine Goodman states: "Although not as satisfying as a real cigarette...", and she wasn't kidding. Sasha was so unimpressed that she didn't want it, so I kept it and used it when inside. I will admit that, after awhile, I did get used to it and, Miss Goodman is correct, in that I did not feel the need to light up, plus, I was not missing the smoke and smell. However, I was searching for something that gives an even better nicotine fix than my cheap throwaway.

So I went to Electronic Cigarettes Reviews and noted that V2cigs was at the top of the list. After reading the review, I was already quite impressed and visiting V2cigs website impressed me even more. In another impulsive decision, I had to try these and when I noticed that ECR was offering 10% off an order, I placed an order for the V2 Economy Kit, which is the Starter Kit that I was eying with envy.

According to the Savings Calculator, I'll save $51.40 monthly and $616.85 annually. I don't know about you, but I can buy a lot of things for $616.85. Plus, I can smoke inside with no odor, no smoke, no messy ashes and no tar.

I am looking forward to their arrival as I can not wait to try them out. I ordered them today, April 27, 2011, so we'll see how long it takes for them to arrive, and then I'll give them a full review here in Part 2.

Chicken or Egg?

For ages, people have pondered the question of which came first: the chicken or the egg. Using a bit of logic, the answer to this question still isn't easy. If the egg came first, there is no way for it to hatch. If there is a chicken present to hatch the egg, then, umm, the chicken came first, not the egg. People who insist that the egg came first claim that maybe another creature hatched the egg or that the climate was conducive to hatching.

The climate was certainly not conducive to hatching. Temperature changes, water, wind, etc all make it impossible for an egg to hatch if just left out. As for another creature hatching the egg, why would it? Why would it find this random egg and decide to hatch it? Why would it just sit there on this egg and keep it warm, when egg hatching isn't something it normally would do? Unless, of course, the egg came from said creature.

It has always been my belief that either the chicken came first or some creature laid the first chicken egg. So, ya, chicken or egg, which came first? Don't really know...

My First Pipe

I bought my first pipe today. It is a cheap, old fashioned corncob pipe (like Frosty's). The tobacco shop I was at had a small bag of mint tobacco, which I bought along with it.

Got home and smoked it with Sasha. We weren't sharing, as she was smoking her Camel Wides. But boy did I enjoy it! The pipe doesn't have the strong oder that cigarettes do. Also, the pipe, after being smoked, didn't reek like the filters of cigarettes do. Plus, smoking it was very enjoyable. Just need to learn to hold the pipe like a pipe and not a cigarette!

Stroganoff

Last night I made my girlfriend some beef stroganoff and she loved it! So I can sing the following jingle:
Me girlfriend loves me stroganoff!
Me girlfriend loves me stroganoff!
Me girlfriend loves me stroganoff!
Stroganoff!
Stroganoff!
